I've read a few posts about people asking questions about winter tires. I have the 16" wheels with my 99 A4 1.8T. Do I need snow tires, or is a set of good all seasons fine? I live in MA (just north of Boston) by the way.

 

If you have the room to store them in the off season... buy a set of summers, and a set of winters. It's a fair chunk in initial cost... but each set of tires wears half as much Steel wheels can be had for cheap, too. All seasons are fine... but winter tires are so much better.

90% of the population ride on all seasons, all year long... quattro gives us the advantage anyways... but quattro and snows? Look at my sig. Playing in the snow is fun!
