Default Snub for a 2.8?

Will a new snub mount help on my car? I have around 80,000 miles. What would it help the most?

Sure it would. When I replaced mine at 75000 miles it made a huge difference. It makes the shifts much smoother.

Which one did you use Jest? The 13 dollar one still makes me wonder... from greedspeed. I want it to be good, I really do! I'm just a pessimest.

I bought a Abnormally Aspirated snub mount. It was basically made by a guy in the 12valve forum on audiworld.

I used the $13 one from greedspeed. Worked great.
I have installed them on both the 1.8 and the 2.8. No engine lifting required. But service position is.

I have a GreedSpeed snub mount being shipped. You might also consider the one from Pure Motorsport (http://www.pure-motorsport.com/). The GreedSpeed is supposedly a VW OEM part, but I couldn't find the part number anywhere. Looks quality to me.
