Just wanted 2 get some feedbackfor snub mounts. What brands are recommended and installation? Does it make a difference?

 

what car do you have?

ECS, APR, Apikol, Neuspeed, and there are a few more too but those are all for b6's im not sure about b5s

 

Are there no other machinists on this site? These things are simple to make.

 

i have one from 034, greedspeed has the same thing, mine quite small but i have it sitting right up against the snub bracket so its good for the price since it does make a difference in shifting, personally id go with APR since my buddy got one on his S4 and it just "feels better", i guess since its big enough to where you may have to trim it a bit to fit the bracket.

 

I havea 04 A4 1.8t 6 speed. The reasonI ask about the snub mount is because sometimes 2nd is a lil rough and at other times it's smooth. Every other gear is smooth to could it be the tranny?

 

The 034 motorsports front torque rod one is freakin sweet man keeps the motor from moving at all, i say go for the 034 motorsports one, there mounts will keep your transaxle and motor still. There brackets offer no play in the motor its nice man...but its up to you, APR, 034, greedspeed, just check out what you want.

 

i got mine from ECStuning and its nice, really easy to install. I have pictures of my old one somewhere, and it was totaly destroyed when i pulled it out it felt apart in my hand [&:]so glad that i got ECS one, much better now.

 

search APR snub on www.audizine.com and you will find a lot of APR snubs on b6 have failed recently...

I just received my snub mount the other day from PureMS. Anyone here have theirs? and if so what do you think of it?

 

newb Q- wuts a snub mount? and my car also hesitates getting into 2nd sometimes. is this common?
