thats right, the new forum is for newbies to gather and dream of chirping noises when shifting (majority of BOV i've heard were HKS.)

 

Well technically there are BOV's available for Audi's, they just arent recomended to use unless you are tuned to run without a MAF, or to use only if the MAF is relocated. There will always be noobs lacking the knowledge of why or why not to use a BOV. But when you ask that particular question is all caps... Well thats just a recipee for the end of the world. Im going to create a BOV explanation in a word document to save on my desktop and paste as a reply for the BOV questions and then lock the thread. It just makes sense to do it that way when lives are at stake.

valid point...but those are only run with big turbos or standalone efi, and chances are if he has either of those...he wouldnt be asking dumb questions like this
you could put a bov on your car, but you will need the bov, adaptor to put it on, and the fitting to revert air back to the intake, about 300-400 bucks later, you could have spent 100-200 on a dv that will do the same thing

 

has anybody ever heard any feedback about the HKS SSBOV, supposedly a BOV compatible with Audi's. I like your idea onepoint8tee, or have a sticky in new members, entitle "Death to BOV newbies".

 

havent heard how the hks works im assuming fine, you just need the piece for the boost pipe, and the other piece to revert air to the box

I had a HKS SSQV BOV on my WRX. They made what they called a recirc kit (recirculation, obviously) at least for my Impreza...don't know about the A4. I don't really know what the point would be since the HKS is way bling and wouldn't even make much noise with it. The HKS can hold a lot of boost though. If you're really stuck on getting the sound, get an adjustable one (like 20% to atmosphere and 80% recirc).

Yeah, I always see HKS advertising it in Eurotuner and such, but with the intake i get enough noise out of mine, i was just curious about the other products out there, thanks allanak.
