so...i let my car sit for a week
So, I went down to LA and visited my friends...I flew and rented a car, so my 98 a4 1.8TQM sat for the week, I went to start it and it sounds like it wants to, but it doesn't...I am guessing it is most likely a feul issue....so, I was just wondering if you guys had any thoughts....
thanks!
thanks!
If it was cold your battery might have drained a little too much. Just because it sounds like it wants to turn over doesnt mean the battery isnt the problem. Id try to jump it first.
alright...thanks 1.8... I just sat there w the key turning for the better part of a minute, and it finally started!...I dorve it around for the last 20, and It ahs since re-started ten times with no effort whatsoever....Its good to be back in the drivers seat after a week of a pontiac v6 g6....I think the audi was just pist because I hasn't had a wash and it's covered in pollen...
thanks again!

Alright...So, every month I go down to LA for a week, I always fly and rent a car...We usually end up driving it like 5K in a week and returning it...For 169 you get the car for a week with unlimited miles through enterprise...Well, at first I was getting the really cheap cars like a chevy cavalier...this car was a joke...ao the next time I got a nissan altima (the new new ones) the altima was sorta quick, but by the end of the first set of neutral drops with the front wheels slathered with atf fluid and the ebrake up....well the altima burned up all of its oil, I just kept adding quarts, and i completely removed everything after the maf so when it topped out at 111mph the engine would shut off!...when I returned the altima it was pouring coolant, power steering and oil out the bottom....so the last time I went down i got a G6...I drove through three states in a day and it didn't miss a beat, I beat on it and it had no problems...so this time down I requested another, the car is "peppy", it actually sounds decent without the airbox, and it won a bunch of races, mostly because people in la can't drive....as far as looks go, the wheels on the car look really good, and everything else is just half way decent...the first one I got was white and this last one was black and my friends said it looks way better in black...oh, and after a bit you really get a feel for the auto gear box... the next time I go down i think ima go for a lotus, its pricey, but hey...it's a vacation!
So I would honestly have to say that the g6 was my favourite rental car, especially compared to the altima for the same price....

You guys have never heard the saying "drive it like a rental car"?...I firmly believe in "getting" what you paid for...hahaha...as long as you don't go overboard....we have had some probs with the insurance claims before...especially when you start drilling holes...haha
