Default So I'm Finally Getting It

So, I'm getting an Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. It's a 1999 with 90K miles on it. I'm getting it for 8500 after tax and liscense (out the door). Please tell me if this is a bad deal. I really want it but I'm not rich. Is this going to be a financial burden on me? They offered me a 2 year warranty for 1200 bucks. Is this worth it? Should I purchase the warranty???

Depends what is covered by the warranty and what the deductable is.

Before you buy, find out if and when the timing belt was done. Otherwise, you are looking at another 6-800 to do the timing belt ASAP.

Have an independent VW/Audi mechanic check it out for faults and problems/sludge/control arms/turbo

Yes, like david9999 said DEFINATELY check out the timing belt.

Hopefully you have an independent mechanic that you can take it to to check it out.

All in all , it seems like a pretty good deal to me, and a warranty is always nice to have.

You are going to want to make sure you have some extra money set aside because things may happen and when they do, they could cost a little bit of change.

How will I know if the timing belt was replaced or no?

Ask for the records on the car. and make them do the belt and stuff befor you by it. Make that kinda part of the deal.
