a couple days ago my car stalled out, and it was acting funny/idling rough/dying, so i took it in to a shop and they said the throttle body was just really dirty, so they cleaned it out and i got the car back and it was AMAZING! SOOO much faster, and SOOO much more throttle response!

so the car was performing well for about 3-4 hours, and than it started to get bad throttle response and it was noticeably getting sluggish again! So im thinking the throttle body just got dirty again, but that fast??

so what would cause the throttle body to get clogged so quick?? bad air filter?? any suggestions would be appreciated, i dont feel like taking it to a shop again.

 

I dont know, maybe check for codes... Did you end up getting that 30v?? Or is this on your 12v?

 

this is on my NEW 30V!!!! DAMMIT!!!! and no codes were thrown at all... its not too serious, but definately makes the car a lot less fun to drive.

 

I guess i would be checking the air filter then. But it would have to be completely saturated with nastiness to cause your Tbody to get messed up after only a few hours. Did they clean the maf sensor when they cleaned the tbody as well?

 

i dont know if they cleaned the maf... im gonna guess not, because all they said was "your throttle body was clogged up pretty bad so we cleaned it out and everything is running great" and everything DID run great... for a few hours...

i guess im gonna take it back in on monday.

 

you might be suffering from a gas problem...

On avg, how full does the tank stay?
