Default Some A4 questions

I'm currently interested in a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro.

I just have some quick questions i would like to know

1; What kind of gas does it take?? Unleaded or Premium
2; How is the gas milage for it?? AUTO with tiptronic
3; What kind of small problems occur?? timing belt??
4; Do you think that overall the A4 is a good car and can it be compared to the BMW 325 XI and the Volvo S60?

hello!

1. Only premium gas!
2. city = ~20 highway = ~27, it really varies with your driving style.
3. Make sure the timing belt has been changed recently. Check suspension, A4's have control arm issues.
4. The A4 is a great car, I love mine. The a4 stock may not be directly compared to the 325, but with a little modification it very well could be. (Chip it, suspension).

My dads S60 drove/handled about the same as mine, but his was fwd and mine is awd. His was faster also but like jestnomen said chip and a few other mods its right up there with it.

i guess i am biased but i think audi is way better than the beamer or the volvo. as for highway miles, i find that when i am consistently driving in sport, i get amazing mileage, as well as in tiptronic (so long as you shift smart) the audi is def. the way to go. no question.
