Default Some problems that are starting to get annoying.

Alright, now it's finally becoming a problem to me. The following things are wrong with my car and i'm having problems and it's finally starting to get annoying. I need some help so any help i would appreciate it!

- Audi A4 1.8t Scanner tool.
I'm looking for somewhere i can buy a scanner that would work for my audi and give me correct fault codes.

- ABS Light
Alright, so heres the deal, last time i got it scanned it cost 80$ which i think was a waste of money, i already knew something was wrong with my ABS since the light is blinking, So then I first want to get it scanned with a tool, to see if theres a short wire or if the actual ABS module is broken, so i can get it rebuilt or find another one. Does anyone know where this "ABS Module Computer" is located?

- Break light
So the break light is blinking, I think the break light is blinking because the ABS light is on. I'm not sure so yeah.

- When i turn my front lights on, it makes a long beep noise.
I don't know what is wrong, is it because i don't have bulbs installed in the back? well the top lights in the back, i don't know what # bulbs to get so i just didn't get them, when i bought them, the light was so damn bright so i just took them out since the right side wasn't working anyways, anyone know the # for the top "rear fog lights" i think that's what it is called.

- ALARM system
So then, my alarm doesn't work, it didn't work when i first got it. I thought it was just the batterys so i went to radio shack to get some batterys for my remote, i got some CR 1620 3volt batterys and tried it out, it still doesn't work, So then i call the dealership and they say it might be the battery in the car, Anyone know how to get to this battery so i could just replace it myself? Another question, How do i program my alarm? i really don't want to spend any money at the dealership if i could do this myself.

- Anyone know where i can buy a SPARE blade key thing.
I don't need the remote, but if its cheap then i might as well get the remote. I just have one key right now so i really need a spare just incase something happens.

- Inspection Service check light
Do i really need to bring it to the dealership to get that checked? that inspection light shows up and beeps every time i start the car, any way to disable it?

thats all that's bothering me. xD.

any help would be appreciated! thank you!

i think you can get the ABS unit rebuilt for like 120$ and turned around in 5 days

and the blade thing with the remote is 260$ from the dealership. Its not cheap but its fun to play with when ur bored

And the only way to get the service light to go away is to have somone clear it( any shop can ) And maybe change your oil...

no, but i think i'll call a shop to order one for me tomorrow. not sure if it will work, cuz the guy who works on eurocars said something about dealers not authorized to sell/ship alarm parts of the car, only they can install. I'll check it out tomorrow if i wont forget

Autozone and Advance will scan your car for free. I recently bought a serial to OBD cable off of eBay and downloaded the free version of Vag-Com. That works too.

Have you checked the level in your brake fluid reservoir? The light'll flash and beep if it's low.

Does the car make the long beeping noise when you turn on the lights even if the door is closed? If so, I don't know what to tell you...if not, well, close the door.

As for the "top lights" in your tails, well, only the driver's side works because it's a fog light and there isn't a bulb in the right ride. Several people on this forum have enlarged the hole on the right side and put another bulb in and been happy with it. Or you can just turn the rear fog light off.

You can buy the key on eBay. If you buy a remote, I think you'll need to make sure the numbers match

You can reset the service inspection reminder yourself...do a search for the instructions.
