hmm im jus wondering what ppl would do if their friend rearended ur car. Luckily there was no damage involved in my situation. couple of nights ago i thought about wut if one of my good friends rearend my a4? what would i do?! and like 2 days ago that actually happens. My friend owns a 95 gsr. we were at a wheels shop since he got some rota slipstreams on his car. looks pretty clean. As we leave out of the parking lot i try to start merging into the huge traffic. i continue and i stopped bcuz there were hella cars. all of sudden someone hits me. i was **** my a4, and i look into the mirror and see my friends face a suprised look perhaps. it sounded pretty bad, hella **** went thru my mind. wut should i do if its damaged, A.) sue ur friend get money off of him, B.) take him to court C.) get out of the car and beat the **** out him. D.) forgive him. E.) all of the above except D. We pull in somewehre and look at the cars. WHEW barely ne thing. i was relieved. i asked him how did u hit me. he said i thought u were goin still cus ur exhaust.

Maaan. Had that happen once but my bud was on a bike. Needless to say, he was hurting a whole hecht of a lot more than I was. Good thing your cars alright. It's no problem getting irrate at someone you don't know, but when you guys are familiar with each other, makes it kinda rough.

Happened to me when I had my old car.

Was traveling along a busy street and a bus pulled out and caused the traffic to halt.

I everyone jammed on the anchors and I tapped the car in front. (Probably caused no damage)

My mate then shunted into the rear of my car and pushed me into the car in front again.

Was gutted had only had the car two weeks and took me ages to find a decent one.

Was my first car and was reasonably fast compaired to my mates cars. (Had about 130bhp)

My car was then sandwiched!!

I paid for the car in front as I would not have been able to prove how much damage I had caused.

My mate or now ex-mate was given the option to either cough up the cash for my car or claim on his insurance. I gave him 2 days to decide and he didn’t get back to me. So I had to contact my insurance and the got the money off his co. Took almost 5 months though.

Mean while he got his car fixed out of his own pocket like a month later. Needless to say we never speak now.

Not much of a loss really as you find out who your friends are when money is involved!!

Was very awkward at the time though as the group that hung out together were force to choose really. But it all worked ok in the end!!

Here are a couple of pics. (i don't know if you had these cars in the US but its a Peugeot 309 GTI)

Before

Rear damage. (doesn't look that bad but the boot lining was pretty crunched)

This was the front of my mates car.

Cheers

Shouldn't be an issue. If he is your friend, he should just out of this car, run over to you and offer to pay for any damage and be extremely apologetic.
