Default Sound

I know everyone will probally jump on me for saying this, but I love the sound of a BOV on cars and I really want that sound from my Audi but I understand that a BOV would cause more problems then anything. I have also read on this forum that getting cold air intake would produce some kind of sound. Is that true? I am assuming it wouldn't be the same as the BOV. Is there anything you all could suggest that would give me the sound of a blow off but not do something negative to my engine? I would really appreciate it. I am new to this forum so sorry if I mixed any facts up

how about one of those fake BOV sound makers. you know the ones advertized in the back of the import tuner mags. or you could have a friend crouch down behind your front wheel and when you rev he would go "Katizz"

I think you guys sold me on the electronic BOV...I hear those add like 23 horses. Any specific kind of air intake? Which one do you have and you have any sound clips of a A4 with intake? is a DV a good idea too? just gaining all the knowledge I can..Thanks guys

Just upgrade your DV to the TT 710N or a Forge

CAI (well not really cold, but they call it that)

lltek.com
HKS
Evolution Motorsport
or go custom and piece together your own creation. Whatever you do, make sure it is shielded or you are going to decrease your performance and have a hot air intake.

Yeah CAI is really mislabeled. if you want truely cold air. go out and buy DEI CryO3 CO2 kit with the air intake thing. it puts 40 degree below zero CO2 thru a bulb that freezes and cools the air down

On the BOV sound. i personally like the friend making the noise better.

vvvvvvVVVRRRROOOOOOM KATIZZ!!!!!

SlimChriz what product(S) exactly are you using?

also im new here so i ahve the saem question. i went to those websites provided (thanks Jestnomen for providing a response)

will those HKS, LLTEK "cold air" kits provide that sound were looking for ( so u can hear the turbo spool a little and a bov noise) ?

or should we just get the forge DV ? or both a DV AND "Cold air" ?

will any of these products have any NEGATIVE effect on the motor?

i just wanna have fun with my winter beater! please help!
