Default sounds like a ricer WTF!?!?!

ok. so i have a custom dual magnaflow, dual chamber setup on my B6 1.8TQM. 3" i believe. it sounded awesome for a while. after i took out the cat and went to an ecode test pipe. it sounded awesome. loud turbo. heard it spooling a ways off. and between 5 and 7k rpm the thing sounded like a jet. so its beena couple months. and the mufflers are wearing in and all that. now between like 3 and 4500 rpms the thing sounds like a coffee can exhaust on a rice burner. everywhere else the note is good and its has a deep tone under a load. sounds good. but what the hell is going on? any suggestions?!?! easy fix???

you do have a 4cyl with exhaust. It certainly won't sound like a V8 or a 6cyl for that matter.

I have the same muffler probably from magnaflow with 3" all the way back no resonators, no crackling sound. I did develop oneafter 7500 miles, i took it back and the discoveredi developed a leak in the flex pipe, any leak anywhere in the system will give you a "coffe can" sound that is raspy. so they say, i fixed it and its back to normal
