i have a 99 2.8Q Auto, 70k miles... how would i know if i need new spark plugs, if so which ones should i get the NGK ones? and the passenger side wheel shakes and clunks so im assuming i need a new upper and lower control arm.. which one do i order exactly... the tie rods were already done.

Wheel could shake and clunk for a lot of reasons, look in there and see what is broken. Could be wheel bearings too. Maybe something is loose or sheared a bolt.

New spark plugs...
Does the car rough idle? IE RPM bounce more than 200? Or, stutter pretty hard at freeway speeds? That is a good reason to check if the plugs are cooked. Pull one or two plugs, are they black, white, covered in a white powdery growth? If it is on one it is probably on all. If there is none on the one, chances are it is not plugs. You can check all of them though. If you find just one has this problem, your plugs are gapped wrong or not in the seat tight enough. Please note do not overtighten your plugs on putting them back in, especially on an aluminum block, you will regret it. And don't loosen/tighten um with a hot block. Ask your parts store about tightening and gapping. It is all easy.
