i was driving on a rural street, 40 speed limit with a buncha friends, and i was in the right lane behind a mustang that was going 35, i sped up to pass hiim, probably around 42 mph, and as soon as i get off the road i turn on to a residential area and saw that a cop was behind me, so i made a quick right in to a Deaf child street, and the cop pulled my over saying i was going 61 mph. i asked him why my radar didnt go off and he told me he had it on standby, what does that mean>?

 

F**K the cop, radar should have still went off once yours picked it up.

 

he told me he had it on standby, then he pressed it on , then he said i was going to fast for him to pi ck it up....f*ing BULLSH!t!

 

Are you saying you were not going 61 mph on a residential street? Are you mad because you got caught or because you think the cop was not justified?

 

If you were just going 42-45, and he gave a bs excuse, just take it to court. I've done this a couple of times, and it works out. The first time, the cop didn't show, no problem. The second time, the cop showed, but the speeding ticket was reduced to just 5 over, i was going 68 in a 55. The last encounter i had to buy my way out.
