I was just whipping around in my audi and the speedometer just stopped working. I just dont know what is going on with this audi everything is basically breaking. Could it be a wire shortage or what?

probably a blown fuse. if yur replaced the fuse and it blew again chances are that a wire came loose in the back of the instremtn cluster. just take it off and make sure everything is on. also before someone else states this is it just the speedometer or the whole cluster in general.

When my speedo stopped working it was because the transmission was near it's end
... that's likely not your problem though. Hoewver, it could be a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor. It is easily accessible from underneath your car. Plugs into the top/side of your tranny. You can try getting a replacement from the dealership, popping it in, see if it fixes the problem. If not, bring it back and say you didn't use it

I wouldnt doubt if my tranny is about too go it has a 150 k. Ive gotta say ta ta too this audi.

I personally would take advantage of this and go fly down the highway..if or when the cops get you just say you dont know how fast you were going because the speedometer wasnt working

heh... I got a ticket the -day- after my speedo stopped working. And I know I couldn't have been going all that fast. Maybe 140 kmph in a 100 zone. Sheesh. I didn't even it try though. Should have, it would have been funny
