It's well worth it. They said it'll take my transmission a few hundred miles to adapt (tip), but I have no complaints. I was hoping for tons and tons of torque and that's not quite what the chip delivered, but it's sooo much better than before. I definitely notice lots more torque. It doesn't come out immediately when I step on the gas from a stop, but when it does, it's impressive and I surprised myself a couple of times on the drive home today. Mostly what I notice is that each gear has way more power. My drive home from where I had the car parked was mostly on the highway, but what I found is true about fifth gear is true about all of them. When I went to accelerate, there was way more power left in fifth. Before, I know that the car would have had to shift down to fourth to accelerate like I was asking it to, but with the chip, fifth pulls strong and I went from 70-100 before I knew it. Even going up hills, I was able to accelerate and stay in gear with plenty of pull. Driving in tip mode is even more fun. I probably still won't be beating any STIs off the line (ha!), but this is how the car should have felt from the factory! I dig it...if you're considering a chip and especially if you have a V6, I highly recommend this one. SpeedTuning is definitely the best thing to happen to the 2.8 in a long time. Any questions?

Also, I should mention how awesome the turn around was. They received my ECU Friday morning and the post man delivered it to me this morning. That's right, USPS Express on a Sunday!

I'll be repainting my lowers in the next couple of days and installing a set of fog lights (courtesy of ThePaintballGuy) and I'm about to put in some new Bosch spark plugs (just in case the full awesomeness of the chip hasn't already been revealed). It's going to be a good week for the Avant.

Edit: I just got done swapping out the plugs. Performance is even better, I didn't know what I was missing with the old plugs, which were, by the way, disgusting.

Your review should mean little to her considering you have a 1.8t and she has a 2.8. The chips for the 2 engines work in 2 different ways.

I know that, LOL. It's just good to see someone else happy with more power from their car.
