startup problem
Hey,
As of late, I noticed that when the car is full warmed up and in cold weather after leaving for a second, it has great difficult starting up. It eventually starts up but struggles for a second or two. Any ideas of what the problem can be? |
RE: startup problem
First get the ecu scanned for fault codes. If there are none, try replacing your engine coolant temp sensor ($6 part easy to do). Also replace your spark plugs if you dont know if/when theyve been replaced. Those are the cheapest ways to start troubleshooting if there are no fault codes andif nothing else is obvious.
It helps if you mention your engine/yr when asking technical questions. |
RE: startup problem
It is a 2003 A4 1.8T, and as far as I know the dealer said the sparkplugs were replaced at 40k, now im at 57k
thanks for the help |
