steering problem...
my squeaking in the steering wheel sounds like a door hinge that needs 2 be oiled, and it only does it when i pull out of a parking spot and take a turn out or something at a very low speed..never on highway turns, only like traffic light signals and stuff
I JUST FIXED MY PROB! I had the same squeeking noise too... the problem was the steering column (at the U-Joint right by the firewall) was not lubed. I just took out the steering column, soaked the u-joint in some oil, and it's as good as new. I never had a hard time turning the wheel, I just heard squeeking and it was SOOO ANNOYING.
the p/s fluid can also loose its viscosity to the point that it leaks past the seals and doesn't build pressur. If it is easyer to turn when the engine is cold than hot this is probably the prob. that what mine is doing, I just havent done anything about it.
