Default still have missfire wtf

98 a4 1.8 q
I came down to my car yesterday morning to warm it up, started it an went inside (everything sounded fine) came out 10 mins later it sounded like it was only running on 3 cylinders. Brought it to autozone, read codes: cylinder 1 missfire. Changed the spark plugs, no good, changed the coil no good. I checked the spark on all cylinders and definetely not getting spark on cylinder one. Thought maybe the new coil was no good but i tried another and still no spark. Could this be the ignition control module? please help

there is the ignition amplifier or possible wiring fault to that coil, check for shorted wires

ECT wouldn't cause a hard misfire on one cylinder. The problem is ignition related most likely (well, definitely, since you confirmed no spark on cyl 1). Probably the ICM, these tend to go out in the B5s and cause misfires.
