Hey all, just wndering if anyone knew the wattage or the voltge on the stock subwoofer on a 2004 1.8T? Im hoping to install some new subwoofers, but i dont know what size amplifier I am going to need. Any input wouold be a ton of help.

I'm not sure what stereo you have, but if you are going to put in your own amp and subs I'm assuming you will disconnect the factory sub so it wouldn't matter. What size subs do you think you'll want to put in?

 

As Doose said it really doesn't matter what wattage the old amp/sub was. The size you will need depends on what you plan to do with it. If you just want some nice low end bass then get something around 200-300 watts. If you want to really thump, then you'll want something a little higher. If you are installing this yourself, make sure you run your own power line from the battery as the stock wiring is junk.
