sttutering got worse with new plugs
after i chipped it.. it started stuttering...something like a sinlge misfire only under heavy load....at 16 psi etween 2.5k and 5kpm...today i put the ngk bkr7es plugs in and now it's a constant misfire on tthe same heavy load but it normal under vacuum or normal driving... cel when on and flashes under load!!! i gapped the plugs to .030.... my previous plugs were gapped to .024...so i did that to the new ones and no difference.... the ones in before had a diferent part #.... so...i dont know...this sucks!

How long have you been a member here?????????
Get your ecu scanned. Take the coil pack from thecyl. thatis misfiring and swap it with another cyl. Scan the ecu again. If the misfire follows the coil pack, replace that coil pack. Should be a .028-.030 gap for chipped.

^ bump for checking the coil packs. just cuz you don't have a CEL doesn't mean they're working. also, possibly a very stupid question, but couldnt you take the coil packs out, put the spark plug in it, crank the car real quick and see if it wassparking right? I know you can do it on cars with a rotor ignition system. may not work with coil packs though. but if it did it would save all the trouble of swapping coils, and reading fault codes.
thanks hoomies!!! it only fails during high boost..... and the cel flashs.... i tought about the coil packs...but why would it start doing that at the exct same time i put the plugs,,,, i thought it had to do with the plugs...before i change the CEL never came and on the first woot after i put the new plugs it screwed it up!!!!
cause you were blowing the plugs out when gapped @ .030 and when you had it @ .024, you were not fully ignighting the a/f mix. Keep the bkr7's and gap them to .028 and leave it there.
