Stubborn OIL indicator
Hey guys,
I admittedly don't know as much about cars as I probably should. Lately when I start my car (a 97 A4 2.8) the Km indicator (the resettable one) is replaced with OIL for about a 1 minute. I have checked the oil level and they seem fine. What does this mean? Is it time for an oil change or should I be more concerned?

SEARRCH! Don't mean to be rude, but I anwsered this exact question a month ago, lol.
If its a red oil light then it means you have low oil pressure, which means you should stop driving, youll know when your driving and you have this constant 'warning' tone. If its a yellow oil light and you get only one warning tone at engine startup, it means 'oil level low', so check your oil, if its fine, then you should check out your oil level sensor. May just need a quick clean or possibly may need to be replaced.
