'Stuck' brake lights leaving me stranded... help!
I have a 2003 A4 Avant that I just bought over summer, so this is my first winter with the car.
I have a hard time explaining things, so I'll recap a typical night so you guys know whats going on.
[I've only been having this problem when the temperature drops below 35 degrees or so.]
I drive home from work at around 9 pm, park the car, come back out at like 11 or 12 to find my brake lights on as if someone was in the car pressing the brake pedal down. All it takes is for me to open the car, press the brake pedal down a bit for the light to turn off and I'm ok. Its the nights that I forget to do it that my battery drains down by the next morning, leaving me stranded. I've tried parking the car without the handbrake up to see if it works, and it doesn't. Any ideas?

if it keeps happening, and you want a quick fix, just pull the lil plunger out on the switch, to get you to where you need to go till you get a new one.
Suzukis had a big problem with this happening too.
