Default stupid questions about buttons

I just got an '01 S4 and am getting used to the German controls and layout. Unfortunately, I don't have the owners manual.

How do you turn on the high beams? Most cars you give a pull on the light control lever.

Also, there are two buttons on the center console that seem to both turn on the fog lights (well light, one is out). Why are there two buttons and what is the difference?

There is a button by the door behind the drivers seat. Pushing it toggles a little light on the button but I haven't figured out what it does yet.

Finally, I saw the seller turn the partially working center display on and off. I haven't been able to figure out what he did.

i have an 01 a4 not sure if it's the same, but high beams push the blinker lever forward. the 2 fog buttons are, 1 for (green) front fogs, 2 (yellow) rear fog. you only have it on one side.

High beams should be on the directional/cruise control stalk. Push to keep them on and pull to flash them.

For the fog light buttons, one turns on just the front fogs, while the other turns on the front and rear fogs.

Button on the B-pillar is to disable the interior ultrasonic alarm sensors. This is if you left a pet in the car or something.

OK, so the thing in the back sets off an alarm if something is detected inside? I'd have been scratching my head on that one for a while.

Thanks all for the help. I found a link to download the manual for $10 so I think I'll grab that. Coming from American cars things are a little different.
