so i get my rs4 grill from awe-tuning today, awesome. i go to pop the hood and pull on the tongue to the latch, and what happens????? the rubber tears. so i need needle nose plier to pull the remainder of the tongue to unlatch the hood... i mean wtf

anyone know where i can get a replacement online?

For future reference, lifting the hood will cause the hood release to pop out so you can open it.

 

yes i know that but what i am saying is that once the hood release popped out, and i pulled on it, the rubber tore (it was rather dry and just basically deteriorated), i noticed it was old and dry before, but thought nothing of it until now i which it finally gave way
