Yeah, the W7 is great... I am using the high output box, so I certainly didnt save space -- but you can use a W7 in a smaller box, and be fine... I'd even do the custom fibreglass enclosure, and use an 8" W7. It'd pound hard.

It depends on what you want, I guess. I am a fan of 8" upfront, but they will play low to a extent, the lower frequencies, something bigger is what you'll need... But this is only because I am a sound quality competitor.. for a daily driver you could probably get away with it..

sorry I havnt been followin the thread... but you can totally fit a 12" in the spare tire place if it's a fully custom job, and it'll have the most frequency range. as for the bump int he middle, it shoudn't matter if it's fiberglassed, you can just go over it and still get the air volume you need, the b5 (my 96 car) doesn't havge a big bump at all, easy to work w/. and for the post awhile ago, i jsut have mb quarts and they sound awsome, so it was a little biased [sm=roll.gif]

I just did a google search for spare tire fiberglass enclosure how to..
http://www.bcae1.com/fibrglas.htm

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...closure+how+to..
I usually use fleece and MDF to build mine, but if you are smart use mat and build up the layers till you get it thick enough where it doesn't flex.. if you the hub in the center you could possibly cut out a few rings and use fleece to build some what of a circular enclosure with the hump in the center.. If not then you can sitll build some rings and use fleece, just got to think about it and plan it right...
Until I get started on my car, I couldn't tell you specific details on how to build it, I can only give general information.. if you can wait just a little bit I should be able to start my project and provide you with more specific details..
