Sucking sound??

Default Sucking sound??

A sucking air sound is coming from my gas cap area. Ive searched but didnt find much. Wanted to know if this is normal or not??

does this happens when u remove the gas cap
it might be just gas pressure from vaoprs releasing from gas tank

Its always thereafter the car is started. Its kinda loud. I can hear it just standing at the rear door.

I think it's NAFTA!!

Maybe you need a new cap, or could have something to do with the filler door lock?

If it happens when you lock and unlock the doors, then it's the pneumatic door locks.

There is a pump that puts positive pressure in the evaporative
system to test for leaks when starting.

I've heard this a couple of times - when I had the back seat folded down - but not everytime I start the car

Its always there when the car is idling. If i take the fuelcap off i can hear it sucking away and when i put the fuel cap back on its like there is a little leak in the fuel cap and i can still hear the sucking sound. Il get a new fuel cap today and see if it fixes the problem.
