suggestion's for 96 A4 2.8

Default suggestion's for 96 A4 2.8

I have a 96 a4 2.8 quatrro, I was wondering if there are any mods i can do, besides exhaust and intake that i can do and not drop 4 grand for a super charger.

nope there are practically no mods for the 12v 2.8. you cant even slap a supercharger on it. you can spend a couple grand and get maybe 12hp. but thats it

Fuzzy Dice are good for 50ish HP




In the real world though, the 12v while a robust and hearty engine is almost impossible to tune to any degree. the only thing I can suggest is to find a guy who goes by the name of Mance, who if you ask really nice might build you some of his custom stuff for the 12v.


I would focus on handling though and just realize that your only gonna get 174hp

Hey, I earch there all the time when I have a question that teh 12v'ers can answer but the Af is more fun to chill at.

There's a user on AF here goes by the name XenonZone; he did a custom S/C setup on his '97 2.8 12v and claims something like 537hp. Custom camshafts, crank shaft, custom ECU, running 18psi with a Lysolm S/C.
