Default Suggestions for my 2.8

I just bought a 2001 V6 2.8 A4 and have been extremely happy with the car. I got the car because of the quality and dependability (plus its good looks).
I dont plan on getting crazy with any mods because I like the luxury aspect of it.

What changes can I make to the car that would improve my gas mileage first and give it a little more power as a benefit. I don't know if I want to chip it because its under warranty. I was thinking a better air intake system and muffler.

Any Ideas?

an intake and exhaust should increase ur gas. If u are looking for a huge power increase go with a super charger. I can't think of anything else to increase ur gas mileage. DO NOT use the tornado air or anyuthing else like that cause the dont work. Alos for more mods go with some pulley's also search cause there are alot on the website i for one have one posted too.

Thanks apg96
I also have a question about the headlights; 99.5 and up A4's have a one piece headlight while the preceding models had a two piece. Would a two piece fit in my vehicle or are the brackets and hardware totally different. I only ask because I am looking for some clear corners and all the one piece lights I can find start around $300 (even on ebay).

i wouldn't go with two-piece headlights. the cheaper clear corners don't fit nearly as well as stock. if you want anything near oem quality, those are like $60-$70 each from lltek. plus the lenses on the cheap corners doesn't match the headlights at all. i'll post some pics if i can find a camera. i have the cheap ones, for now. but the one piece headlights are CLEAN, i would definitely just hold out and keep an eye out for a used set on aw or ebay, i see them all the time for much cheaper than a brand new set.

to answer ur question i would think they would fit because there would no body changes. I have the 99 and i plan on swapping out to clear corners. I think i will go a better quality b/c of what BFlan2001 said.
