Sunroof switch
Hey everyone. Been a long time since I've been on here, but I'm back. Anyway, I've been affected by the "ghost sunroof". Did a search, found some info, but I need a little more. My sunroof only opens itself maybe once a month at most, but I'm in Seattle and it rains, a lot, so I need to get this fixed. 99% of the time it poptops, doesn't slide back, but I could still get water into the car. Now, this means dirty contacts on the switch, right? So all I need to do is pull that big plastic cover off the switch, or do I have to pull the headliner? If there was a way I could just pull a fuse in the fusebox and just not use the sunroof, that would be perfect as well, I never use the damn thing. Does anyone know if there is a fuse that controls the sunroof and ONLY the sunroof that I can just pull out? Thanks guys!
Alright, I'll check into it. I'd like to stay away from cutting the wires all together because there might be a day I want to hook it back up easily. Just pull off the ground huh? That makes sense. Thanks man.
u dont have to touch the headliner. just pull the sunroof thingy off. heres a DIY article from audiworld http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec.html
should fix it right up. if not you might need a new microswitch
