Sunroof won't open
My sunroof doesn't open on my 96 A4. When I turn the **** I can hear a couple click (sound like circuits opening and closing) but nothing happens. I don't hear the sunroof motor. I can open it using the hex key. Do you think its a bad motor? I checked the fuse and the connections and they are all tight. Any help would be appreciated.
Try contact cleaner in the opener.
Also open it manually and use white lithium grease on the rails. Open and close manually a few times and see if that fixes the problem.
I don't have my repair guide with me as I am traveling, so I can only give simple guidances.

this should work on your year audi http://www.kris-hansen.com/Audi/srswitch.htm
Turned out to be the motor. Worked well after I switched it out, but after I greased the rails it works even smoother. Thanks for the help. Was a pretty easy swap using the Bentley Manual.

I had to remove the headliner partially. Bentley said that you had to remove the B pillar covers but I didn't. I only removed the sunroof switch, the sunvisors and clips and the "oh sh*t" handles". There was plenty of clearance without removing the B pillar covers which are kinda hard to put back on with the height adjustment for the seat belts. Bout a half hour of work.
