I need to know what would be faster an A4 2.8L 30v PES SUPERCHARGERED or S4 2.7 biTURBO with a GIAC chip?

The reason I ask is I want to do one or the other for my next car. What do you guys think would be better on performance, gas mileage, and my wallet? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

 

deffinately the s4, there is more mod potential and the price for a used s4 with low miles can be found for 20k

Do the s4. All around better i think. ive heard of s4's blowing turbo's after pputtin a bunch of miles with the chip, but i dunno if its that common.

 

the k03's tend to go out but overall i think the s4 will be your better bet, it will take less modding to get the s4 to where you want

 

Yeah, but unless you are rich as h*ll, you are going to have mad maintenence with the s4. All of my friends that have them are in the shop more than driving. If all you want is 300hp, go with the a4...much cheaper in the long run.
And if the PES kit puts down 300whp, it will beat a chipped s4(roughly 260-275whp) with no problem. The a4 also weighs a little less.

 

Pes claims 295 crank hp, and most say its a little less then that. Chipped s4 will be much faster, Apr v5 puts out 318hp, and 382ft/pd torque, s/c A4 wont touch that.

 

audiboy, what did you ever do w/ those go-fast goodies from your a4???

 

I was about to say I thought the chipped s4 puts down more power. Yes the s4 may be more expsensive to maintain, but a FI (forced induction) on a non FI motor will cause issues in the long run. SO add a motor rebuild to the tab and see where that sets you.

 

he has been trying to sell them over on the zine, last i saw he still had the stage 3 turbo set up and was selling it at a really good price
