Default suspension

I was just wondering what type of suspension people were using to lower their audi's. I have been thinking about the eibach pro kit which seems to be a pretty safe way to go. Also is it really that important to replace stock shocks with aftermarket when you lower your car, just want to know in case I just buy springs. Anyways, any feedback you could give on what you have tried and works well for you. AlsoI know coilovers are cool but I can't afford them and not really pratical for my needs, so if you havethem please don't rub it in...I get jealous easily.Alright thanks for anyhelp, the people who reply do a great job.</P>

if you have stock sport suspension, you can buy aftermarket springs and use them with the stock shocks. They will not last forever like this, but it does allow you to lower your car.

NOTE: if your stock shocks are not in good condition your ride will be terrible. If you do only replace spring you are basically throwing money away on labor because you will eventually need a 2nd install for shocks when the stocks die anyway. (about $200/install)

A lot of people go with the Bilstein shocks/H&R springs combo or the Koni shocks/Eibach or Vogtland springs combo.

My recommendation is to buy both shocks and springs. Go to PureMS.com - they have a good special on most of their suspension products right now.
