Default Suspension

Alright I have been reading another post about getting new springs. I want to lower my ride about an inch to a inch and a half. I dont have sport on my car so i would need a kit with both the springs and the shocks. Tire rack says to get Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Setand Eibach Pro-Damper Settogether and it should work good. What do people think about Eibach over Koni and Neuspeed? is it best to get a kit that comes with everything or should i buy the shocks and springs seperate from one another?

Unless you are getting two different brands or there is no kit available, I don't think there is much different between buying shocks and springs seperately or together. I just lowered my ride about 4 months ago and I bought the kit which everything comes together to save time and hassels. My car did not have sports package before so I went Koni FSD damper + Eibach Pro springs. I also changed my front and rear sway bars to H-Sport. The driving experience improved a lot and I loved the height (1.5" front and 1" rear). It is low enough for me and not too low for snow.

Of course, if you have few extra $$, go with coilovers; they are adjusable.

according to other peoples experiences, Neuspeed springs are stiffer compared to other lowering springs of the same drop. Neuspeed race springs are stiffer than H&R race springs for example. That doesnt make neuspeed's bad, but it just depends on how much ride quality you want to sacrifice. Most people swear by H&R spring/Bilstein shock combo. Havent heard much about Eibach.

do not put eibach on your audi.... they belong on mitsubishis and hondas, not saying there bad, there is just better out there for an audi...

i got neuspeed race springs and bilstein sport shocks and i dont think a spring/shock combo will ever beat them. the springs hold stiff through realy fast/sharp turns but remain very comfortable for daily driving. people get into my car and they are amazed that im lowered 2.25" cuz of how smooth it rides. Now, im sure the shocks definately have something to do with that but nonetheless the springs are amazing..

i recommend neuspeed race / bilstein sport.... i promise you will not be let down.

Alright im look at a site that shows the neuspeed sport springs at $209. I think i want the sport cuz its only a 1.25" drop. 2.25" would be nice looking but to much for me.the bilstein sport shocks are $469 for 4. do those prices sound good or should i keep looking around? also how much was installing them at a shop?

its 2.25" only on the FRONT of an AWD 2.8.... if you have a fwd/awd 1.8 than the drop of the race springs will only be 2" all the way around, which is pretty nice if you ask me...

are you doing this more so for looks or performance??? If performance, than I highly recommend the race springs.
