Default Suspension dilemma

I bought a 96 v6 FWD a4 and it was already lowered. It has aftermarket shocks and springs. The front of the car is way too low, already cost me 500 for a new oil pan because a speed bump riped through it. I want to bring up just the front of the car, the rear is the perfect height. I need to know if I can use a4 or s4 sport springs in the front with my aftermarket shocks?

Depends on what shocks you have and what springs are in your car.

If you have adjustable coil overs, then you can adjust the height without changing parts.

Looks as if I was misinformed. The car looks to have stock shocks with h&k lowering springs.

do you mean H&R?
shocks are def blown if their are H&R springs. (especially the race ones) I would look into bilstein sport shocks

Here are a few pics, the front just seems too rediculously low, There was a 20 or 24 oz soda bottle on the road and I ran over it slowly on purpose, didn't clear it, I heard it hit my oil pan! That is just too low for my taste. So you guys think shocks will bring the front back up to where its supposed to be?

Yes I meant H&R. You can see in the pics that the front fender lip hangs over the tire. Could I buy an s4 suspension and use the front shocks/coils without changing the rear ones?

nope...i wouldn't...throwing off the suspension balance using difference parts...you probably won't like the ride.........h&r go well with bilstein....and if you still worry about the height...you can always get the grooved one....but dam...it looks hella tight slam....but not too pratical

So I should pick up these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BILST...spagenameZWDVW
How do I know if I even need shocks yet? And more importantly, will these shocks and the H&R springs bring the front of my car up to where its not going to bust my oil pan again? I almost want to just switch over to the sport suspension all the way around. But the back of my car sits fine as is, I just wan tthe front to be the same height as the back. Can anyone post a pic of their car with H&R springs and aftermarket shocks?

to find out if your stock shocks are blown or not...just jack the car up and look around the shocks housing and if you see wetness around....shocks are blown...even if not...i would change it anyway....stock shocks are softer then after market... if your stock shocks are blown then it may sag alittle looking at the pix and for sure you will bottom out...with new shocks it may and should bring up a little bit...i would say no more then 1/2in +or- from what you have right now giving that your old one are blown....but for sure you won't bottom out
