Suspension/Power Steering Noise
So, like the subject says I was/am having trouble with my power steering. At low speeds it's as though I have no power steering at all, and the car used to make a creaking noise when I turned the wheel at low speeds.
I researched this a little and most signed pointed to the power steering fluid/pump, so I brought it to be fixed and told them to fix the power steering... instead I get a bill for over a grand with a long list of arms and joints etc., to be replaced. Well I kind of say "whatever" if it's something that needs to be done eventually and it will fix my car, but it didn't
Yes, the noise is gone... but i still have to freaking crank the wheel extremely hard if i'm trying to back out of somewhere to turn at a slow speed.
So it seems pretty obvious to me that I still need a new power steering pump... but my question is how much of a waste was it getting all those arms etc., replaced? The car doesn't seem to handle any differently.
Thanks.
