Swaybar opinions!
Okay I know this was just recently covered... but seriously... I have no idea what I wanna do!
The situation...
My parents just told me, that, for my birthday... they are going to get me a rear swaybar... Totally surprised the hell out of me! My birthday isn't until the 20th, but they were talking to Neil (clconversion for those of you who don't know), and he tipped them off... The reason they told me early, was because if I want a 19mm, I can have it for my birthday on the 20th... or, if I want a 22mm, I have to wait until january.
The wait, as it turns out... doesn't bother me (no way they could have known that, though)... So yeah... free rear swaybar! Pretty damned extravagent birthday present I told them... but they explained that they wanted to, as they feel I usually get the shaft for my birthday, as it is 5 days before x-mas.
Anyways... the 22mm would be sweet... although I am afraid for my subframe (although the neuspeed DOES come with reinforcements)... and the 22mm would also require a 35mm front swaybar... which would undoubtedly turn my car into some sort of handling monster... the 19mm would likely balance nicely with the stock sport front sway.
So... it's free to me... what do you guys think? I like the idea of having the 22mm rear, 35mm front... but how serious is the subframe thing?
Blah! Tough *** choice!

i say just wait for the 22mm
theres alot B6ers who are just running the upgraded neuspeed 21mm rear only
i have both front and rear becasue they came with both
htey say just upgrade the rear and not the front for better correcting the understeer

Yeah, but the 22mm sway is a much bigger difference over stock than the 35mm front is... so a 35/22 combo will still promote oversteer.
It will also reduce body roll to a crazy degree, I bet! But yeah...
I don't NEED to get neuspeed, either... it is just what they were planning.
More opinions! Thanks panda!

To strengthen the rear sub-frame area, H Sport developed a billet aluminum reinforcement bracket system which bolts easily from the sub-frame to a hard point on the chassis. All necessary hardware is included in the reinforcement kit.
Hmm! Foudn an eBay seller selling the same type of kit for 379 shipped... but it's for an A6. I emailed them and asked if they can do the kit I need! IF they can, I'd likely go h-sport for sure. I am not infatuated with neuspeed by any means... so yeah. 379 US is a steal and a half, if they can swing that.
So, Panda... are you happy with the kit? I mean, happy with the amount of oversteer? Would you do the same kit again?

Jeebus! Well yeah... I can't see neuspeed being any better than h-sport... swaybars can't be anything too complicated to design... I hope!
And yeah... the coilovers I got didn't impress me that much... but I am sure them, combined with swaybars, will make me a happy guy!
