Sweet Progress.
Hey guys first of all Happy Holidays to all. Well yesturday while I was driving doing christmas shopping I started geting a really big jerking feeling then a feeling like the car wanted to die below 800 RPMs, so I search the forum and saw it could be the spark plugs. So I went out to buy new spark plugs but I didnt put them in yet I plan on doing it first thing in the morning when the engine is dead cold, I also decided to get a K&N air filter also. Is there any other ideas of items I could pick up at my local Pep Boys, Napa or Strauss. My car needs presents also at a good price since Im low on funds right now lol. Thanks.
I was looking at the K&N oil filter ( I thought they where the same size lol), I've been hearing about this seafoam but what is it. I am thinking about doing synthetic on my next change in January and whats the difference between the ODB tool and Vag-Com?
seafoaming is good preventative maintenance imho. Did the 2 bottle job (1 in gas tank, 1/2 in oil, 1/2 sucked into vac line). I didn't notice any huge difference in performance, I did it more to help reduce potential for sludge, etc. I think the idle got a bit smoother.
I'm not sure about how long you should drive with it in your oil. The DIY I read
said do it when you fill up the gas tank and do the oil change by the time it's empty. Some here freak out at the thought, worrying about the loosed gunk piling up in oil the screen. I don't know what to tell you but nothing negative happened to me.

Do it yourself, it's pretty simple. having someone else do it would be even more ridiculous than having someone else change your oil.

You can also put it directly into your oil before you get an oil change, I'm not sure what the general consensus is on how long you should drive around with it in your oil. You can also put it into your gas tank before you fill it up. Like it was mentioned above, it's just a preventative measure, some people notice very obvious improvements, for others its very subtle improvement if any, but it's definitely worth doing all 3. Thanks man, You guys are awsome damn! I finally got around to changing my plugs today. I was up since 9:00 this morning and when I pulled of the cover it was DIRTY[:@]. So I got some engine degreaser and a towel and trusty yellow spong, plus elbow grease and I cleaned away. Personally after changing those plugs my car has a better pull. I dont know if its the satisfation of all I did today that makes it seem fast lol, (I wish my plugs can with stickers 5+ HP lmao), or it really did have a response since I tool out those black rusty plugs. Ummm... The world will never know lol. "Seafoam here I come."
