switchblade key with keyless entry
I have A4 Quattro 2.8 1998 and I bought a flip over remote keyless entry from e-bay, I thought will be nice to have one compact key instead of two part ( key and remote).

Well, after I got the remote from e-bay, I order the key but when I went to pick up the key they toll me the key will not work with my car.

The key is all ready cut and I will like to find out if this is truth, according with some search I been do it should work and now my concern is what happen with the key the dealer all ready had cut for my car?

i know a ghetto way to increase the range of the remote

flip the key out and press is into your chin so its pressing into your lower jaw bone, that basically makes your whole body an antenna and it works pretty far

| <- the key.

i got my key from ebay to. you have to bring it to the dealer to get the key cut...its $60 bucks and some dealers will give you a hassle "saying they can not do it" if you do go take the key code that came with the car. if you are like me (my car originaly came with seperate remote and key) you have to say you want a switch bladekey or elsethey will prob just get another regular key.. key code is labled that way

i have been too lazy to go to the dealer so i dont have my key cut yet

also ibelive if you go to them directly you can get the whole newunit and have the key cut and programed for about $120
