Default Switching a4s

I am looking into selling my 2.8 and buying a 2000 S4. What do u guys think of this? How reliable are these cars? I am selling the 2.8 one cause its kinda slow and when i bought it i didn't look into the mods available. Big mistake. I could s/c and get it to around where a S4 is. So i figure by the s4 and then mod that. What mods are around for the s4? What do u guys think of this car. Oo yea and itr will be stick so hows the tranny?

I looked into GIAC chip and it said 70-80 hp gain and even more with a CAI. Is that right? And even flashloader capable.

The B5 S4 is a great car with awesome tuning cabability. Every mod under the sun is available for the S4, too many to list. the turbos are, however, are a reliability issue I suppose.

I've got a K-04 on my 1.8t and have no reliability issues, course that's only one... Borg Warner is the OEM manufacturer for Audi, so they are quality turbos. As long as you take care of them, you should be fine. Chip, turbos and exhaust, and that S4 is a beast. I think it's a great idea. I haven't seen that many for sale though, people that have them usually don't sell them. Keep us posted.

according to a review i read (if i recall on edmunds.com) the turbos are K03s not K04s. But yea i have found a few around. The thing is i kow exaclty what i want, a black with no cracks in the leather with no front plate (hard to find in cali). Although when i look at the bumper it looks like there is a piece that pops out whne u add a license plate?

Yeah the stock turbos are k03's. A common upgrade is "stage 3", which is upgrading the turbos to k04's. An S4 is most likely going to cost more to maintain than an A4. You gotta pay to play.
