a t28 is a modified t25, meaning the exterior is the same but the internals of the turbo are different,. A t25 is used on 2nd generation dsm cars (95-99 mistu eclipse and eagle talon) waste gate is also changed from t25 to t28, but just the actuator not the flap itself. Check dsmtuners.com or dsmclassifieds.com for a cheap used on. you might as well use a 16g turbo though, same mounting flange

Might as well not check out dsmtuners because anyone who has software for the the t 28 or gt28r modified them before they sell them. The Apr gt28r is differnent in more ways the just the wastegate. If your going to run t28 software(giac),you need a pes t28..if your going to run apr software, you need a apr gt28r, sucks, but thats how they do it.

Hi,

got nothingagainst t28 but I'd look at getting a GT turbo, ballbearings, water cooled, newer design.
I likethe gt28r.

PES will give software for the GT28r thats what I asked them for.
