Tape Deck Keeps spitting tape Out
Hi Everyone,
I own a 2002 A4 3.0.
Recently I went on a road trip to FL from NYC and I was using the tape deck adapter to listen to my Mp3 player. It worked fine for a few days, then all of a sudden everytime I try to insert the tape - the tape goes in for about 20 seconds then it pops out again.
I don't know if this has been an issue prior to my experience but any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What's a tape deck.
Just Kidding...
Try lubricating the wheels in the adapter. If they stick the tape deck thinks that you are at the end of the tape. Usually it will try to flip the tape to other side a couple of times and then spit it out.

i've been having some trouble with the hifi system in my a4, i think my needle may be wearing down
ok, seriously, try cleaning the adaptor, and if that doesn't work, get a signal amp as onepoint8tee suggested...i wouldn't try messing with the internals of your head unit, you might end up causing a much more serious problem (like killing your stereo completely)

Thank You all for your sugestions. I have taken the tape adapter apart and everything seems to be ok there. I also cleaned the adapter. I will let you know what happens next.
I thought about getting the fm transmiter for my mp3 player but since I live in New York City - the reception tends to get staticky with all the buildings around so I guess I will have to stick with the Old fashioned Tape deck.
Again, thanks for your sence of humor and all the help.
