TBA Question
OK...my car had a rough idle problem, so i tried doing the throttle body adaption that i found when searching. The question is, when i disconnect the battery for 30 min or so. do you connect the battery after 30 min and put the ignition on ON or put the igniton on ON while the battery is disconnected? sorry if this is confusing. OR can i do something else to fix the idleing problem? thanks

initial throttle position is set by manufacturer and no adjustment can be made, it is a little confusing but im sure the key would be in the off position when connecting the battery, the car will need to be run and driven for the ECU to re-learn the setting

I don't know about '97 but in my '02 you put the key in, turn to the ON position(not start), press and hold the gas for 5 sec., turn the key to the OFF position(with foot still on the gas) and then let up on the gas and leave the key in the ignition. You will hear some clicking and electric motor type noises for about a minute or two and then it will stop. This helped my idle and throttle response.
