Default Telephone Kit, Build Codes

Picked up my 2004 A4 Avant yesterday and am interested in finding out some more....

It has the Audi dash fixed telephone kit, which needs an adapter to charge the phone. The Salesman said that it was Bluetooth, but I've been unable to get my phone to connect....

I thought that if I could decipher the Build Codes I would be able to know what I have actually got in the Car.... If it is not Bluetooth then I HAVE to have a cradle, if it is then it is optional. Also means I don't spend ages trying to do something that is impossible.

It would also mean that I woul dknow exactly what I have got and not got. The dealer didn't advertise the Xenons and Heated Seats that it does have, maybe there's more hidden gems :-)

As far as I know Bluetooth was first offered in the 2005.5 models. If I were you I would go for an aftermarket bluetooth kit like Parrot.

Spoken to Audi Customer Service and they confirmed that it is not Bluetooth. Waiting for a list of supported phones and then can look at getting an adapter.
