I have front trac, and engine orientation is the same as quattro.. No question about it.
But its pretty simple, just look under the car for the axles... Any douche bag can recognize axles/rear differential-or lack there of- to determine what kind of drive train it is... (refering to the mechanic)

 

Sigh...ok thanks guys...I'm just trying to find some ray of hope that it could in fact be Quattro...going from thinking you are driving a Quattro to a FWD is pretty depressing...and its not like I didnt have the car inspected before I bought it. I took it to my mechanic to make sure that everything was working fine, but I mean unless you have some reason to believe it wasn't Quattro and if it has the badges, why would you think to check for something like that? But Idunno I guess something like that seems like something a mechanic should catch, but I guess he was looking for flaws rather than classifying the drivetrain. Meh I dunno I guess thats a ligitamate thing to check, I'm just a stupid kid that doesn't know much about cars...just depressed to know that I know have a FWD instead of Quattro.

 

Haha, well I guess that makes me a douche bag lol. I was at an Infiniti dealer one day and checked out the G35. The sales guy told me it is a rear wheel drive car so I looked under the car and looked and looked. Couldn't see the rear diff. I told him that it could be a FWD and he said he is pretty sure it's RWD but stupid me, I still disagreed with him saying that I even looked under the car. Well on a second GOOD look, I saw the rear diff.... It was recessed deep inside the undercarriage so it was a bit hard to spot. Boy did I feel dumb.

 

mine has a quattro badge inside the car next to the radio in the trim. im pretty sure it says quattro, i dont remember

people would have to go through a lot of work to put a badge in the trim on the inside of a car

 

take a pic of the underside of your car and post it i wana see

Yeah, the quattro badge on the dash trim is sunk in. Its probably quattro, unless the seller went to very extreme measures to trick you.
But on the same hand, the guy doing the swap does have both cars side by side to compare, so maybe someone did rip ya.

 

why dont you just hit up the dealer with your vin instead of posting on here

 

why dont you look at the registration and title. it should say quattro. that or save alot of time and just look under the back to see if there are any axles.

 

go look now...i cant wait to see what it is!!!
