Default temp level drops when heat on???

I was just wondering if this happens or happened to anyone else and if its a big deal or not or even if someone knows what it is and how to fix it.... Basically when im driving and my car is at normal tempature, I will blast the head (I live in Seattle so its always freezing here!) then I well keep driving and look at my gauges and my temp gauge will drop, so i turn it off and after about five minutes of driving it goes back up???? any ideas? i appricate the help in advanced....

your heater core is working as a radiator.. and your fan is helping displace the heat that is on the heater core therefor cooling the temps yadda yadda yadda..

since your a fellow PNWer check this out

Its really nothing to be concerned with. If it raises or drops rapidly or sporadically I would think youre having thermostat problems, but if it just drops when your pumping out heat that would be a normal response.

Well.. the heated seats are electronic, not related to the heater core.
