Default testpipe

if i buy a testpipe im thinking ill need a tune, i mean, friends with sti's need it if they get it to see the power gain. is that true for the ecs testpipe? also i live at 7k feet in kind of a small town so i would prob have to go somewhere to get one, then the problem is, will it be pretty bad if i change altitudes, like am i looking at a boost spike issue? thanks

you shoulds be fine. A tune is not needed for hp gains. the only thing I can say if it is illegal in your state done get caught or you can kiss your car and 5,000- 10,000 dollars good bye along with your license.

Your cars ecu will adapt to the test pipe, mine took about 50 miles before I really felt a difference. no spiking, and no other drawbacks that I found.
