Default Testpipe?!

If I get a testpipe for my 1.8T B5, how much hp would I gain? Is there a chance that I will get a CEL? My state does emissions, so does that mean if I get caught I will get in trouble? Also, will a testpipe save gas?
Thanks in advance for your help

hp varies depending on supporting mods. It is a great means to increase horsepower, especially for the price. You will get a cel, however there is a way around that through a bung sensor (I believe). Since your state has emissions test you could get in trouble if you get caught. Some people clear the cel with vag before the bring it in and nobody says a thing. If done right, you can get away with it.

probly 10-15hp on a chipped car. to get no CEL- https://www.audiforums.com/m_732015/tm.htm as for emissions, it depends if the place you go can test AWD cars. if they can't test ur car under load, and you clear any codes before going or do the non-fouler mod, you will pass. or you can find a shop that is willing to pass you for a few extra bucks

Well my state just checks if there is a check engine light and then plugs in the computer to check if you didnt just clear it with the battery but no actually testing is done. Can you tell me where you got your angle block?

bought it off a guy in the classifieds, but i heard there is a guy named Wayne that is selling them, his email- spaethschmidt@yahoo.com so email him and ask him. if not the non-fouler mod works, and i have 2 extra ones lying around if u want to buy them

how's $15 shipped sound?

also you can always do it yourself by buying some non-foulers and drilling them out. so if you got a drill, it'll only be $5. and a more free flowin exhaust does improve mpg a little bit, but i wouldn't expect much

if your feeling realy ambisious you could gut a cat or weld the cat skin around a straight pipe, although you will still need a CEL fix like the non-fouler.
