Default Are these Red Box brake pads? Sensor or no?

I am wondering if these are supposed to be the Mintex RedBox pads, I hear they are the best for our cars.

http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=412

The reason i ask is becuase they are way cheaper on purems than they are on AWE tuning, but these on purems don't say redbox and I didn't know if there was a difference or not.

Also, I have a 99.5 1.8T quattro, do I need front pads with the wear sensors on them?

tricky one there, some have the wear sensor wire and some dont then you could use the old ones if you can save them or you will need to bridge the wires to stop the warning light from coming on which is done all the time

Yes, those are the red-box mintex. They are decent pads, I am running them right now. There are better pads, but they cost a lot more, like 70-80 per set. These are good for aggressive dailly driving.
Their page says they come with the sensor wires.
I paid about 40 for mine, from a local import shop.

You paid 40 for the front ones with the sensors? That is pretty cheap! This is the cheapest I could find them.

Lol, I wasn't asking if they came with the wear sensors, I know that they have them, what I was asking is if I NEED the ones with the wear sensors? If not the ones that don't have them are like 15 bucks cheaper.

like Avant said, you dont NEED the wires. I think when I change my brakes im going without the sensor. Its annoying and the pads usually dont need changed when they hit that point. They usually still have some life left. Id rather be the judge of whether my brakes are worn or not.

Mine does not have the sensor wires, so that is probably why they were cheaper. Just take your wheel off and see if you need them or not. Mines a 97.

Yup "my lights on! Ohhh, I better take it in to get checked out!" Audi: "cha-ching"

Thats why Id love to get rid of that. Just so I dont have to hear the annoying beep, even though it only happens once
