Hey guys. After months of trying to mod my car and always having something go wrong I'm getting kinda tired of my car and am thinking of getting an B7. Anything I should know about them that might be a negative before I make that jump?

 

My .02 i dont like the way they look i think the B6 are the hottest things out there now, if your going new there really isnt any negative other then the high price, they are nice and have some good power but dont really have that much for mods(yet) go B6 and have everything available to you.

 

i own an 07 b7..only had it for about 2 months but its been great (red on black)..a few friends of minehave b6's n have a lot of probs so i got a b7 to be safe..i got a boost gauge n carbonio intake, it sounds great.. if u do get one i hear theres a recall to reset the ecu at 5kmi so wait on the chip till after that..i previously had an rx8 for 2 1/2 yrs..nothing compares to the rx's handling n power around 7-9k but id stillreccomend the audi over it

That says a hell of a lot, recommending the b7 over an RX8.

NY, I say go for it, there's not a ton of mods, but I think the B7's are badass, I like them better than the b6 personally.

 

I have a B7 2.OT Quattro Manual, Sline Convienence and Navi

Alot of of the mods are out for B7. As for my car, I have 91 APR, Ecodetuning Testpipe, Milltek exhaust, ECS sub mount, AWE boost guage, RS4 Rear Sway bar and of course Forge DVFSI Spacer for Diverter valve.

I took my car on track, it is awesome. The car pulls so hard starting at 2.1k rpm, but kinda out of breath at 5k rpm and up. So use your power band wisely. So far, no complain of the car. As far as handling, you should know how quattro performs by now. But RS4 rear sway bar is a must if you drive aggressively. It's best band of money in the handling category. It's like $120 from ECS or so, plus it's OEM from RS4 which means bolts off and bolts on and it's ready to go. Stock rear is 16-18mm depends if you get the sport suspension or not, RS4 is 22mm.

Yes, there is a recall at 5k service, I believe it is to fix fuel pump and cold starting problem.

Make sure you get manual + quattro + sline for it. It is all worth it. I live in So Cal, it's hard to find those combos, so I ordered it and wait 2 months for it.

 

it took me about 2 months to get mine as well...quattro, 6-spd, red on black (hard to find), the dealer spotted it in germany about to get in the boat, it wasallocated to a dealers stock in PA but i had it diverted to me in NY

 

To me 07 2.0T's are the ugliest car on the market, bodys to long. I don't like it, what problems are you exactly having? I mean your putting in some averagly big mods that require good tuning... so whats the deal ?

 

a b6 is 179in long, b7's are 180in long.....not a huge differance..n whats wrong with having mods??

Eh, it seems my year tip is cursed. Why fight it. Plus I have a chance at workto win a new Jeep Wrangler valued at $25,000 if i dont want theJeep they will buy me any car I want up to $25G's so I figuredif I win Itrade in mycar which is worth about 8 and since I can find nice used05-07 A4's (Turbo Quattro of course) for about 28 or 29 my new car would be paid for completely and my job will just give me the leftover money so now I also have about a $5000 surplus. So if I do win I'm definately doin it if I dont, I think in about another 4 or 5 months i'll do it anyway except I'll have to make payments. Either way I like the B7's. I drove a 2.0T and really liked it.I dont care very much for the B6 tailights and I LOVE the B7 headlights, with eyelids they are very aggressive. Well we'll see what fate has in store for me when they draw for the jeep. Cool thing is I hae a Sh*tload of entries since I am hella good at my job and they are drawing 2 winners so I have 2 chances. Cross your fingers for me guys. Winning would definately be a cool thing. Before I trade in my car I'll probably take out the K04 and put the K03 back in. I'll be giving that bad boy away for hella cheap. I'll keep you guys posted.
